The Steve Nash Youth League is designed primarily for boys and girls, grades 2 through 7. Our league has one practice session and one game per week, combined into one weekly session. The program was developed in BC and now is offered by Provincial Associations throughout Canada.  The North Delta Steve Nash League is overseen by the boys basketball program at North Delta Secondary.

The boy’s basketball program at North Delta Secondary is one of the most successful programs in BC high school boy’s history.  North Delta teams have laid claim to three provincial championships (1971, 1975, 1990) and four Fraser Valley titles (1972, 1990, 1992, 1993).  Overall, Husky basketball teams have appeared in the BC provincial championships 18 times, with 6 trips to the final four and a total of 5 appearances in the championship game.  Huskies have been named 3A tournament all-stars 20 times, with Dave Coutu collecting MVP honors in 1970.  Additionally, North Delta players have been named to Fraser Valley Championship all-star teams over 19 times, most recently with Mical Oliveirre and Rob Dhillon claiming first team honors in 2007, while teammate Cam Clark was named a second team all-star that same year.  Three different players have laid claim to the title of Fraser Valley MVP, the most recent being Sean Ramjangsingh in 1993.  The most recent appearance by North Delta in the 3A championship occurred in 2007, when after placing 2nd in the Fraser Valley, North Delta defeated Burnaby’s St. Thomas More to reach the Elite Eight before falling to eventual champion Dover Bay of Nanaimo.
